This is a great recipe to use as a meal. I especially enjoy it after a vigorous workout. It gives you nearly everything the body needs, from vitamins and minerals and amino acids to a great amount of sugar. The body can easily utilize and convert the nutrients from the banana into usable energy. If you eat this meal within two hours after training, your body is able to assimilate much more of the banana’s nutrients (the body is able to assimilate other foods better as well).
The best time to eat bananas is when the skin is bright yellow and speckled with brown. The starch will have changed to fruit sugar, and the fruit will be tender, sweet, and easy to digest.
Ingredients for one person:
Soak the dates for about an hour before preparing the meal. Peel and chop 1 banana and the pear in pieces and put them in the blender. Then add 5 dates with a bit of water to concoction. Peel and chop the other 3 bananas and place them in a bowl. Pour the banana/date/pear mix over the bananas and voilà, you have yourself a super tasty and healthy meal!
